The Return from Exile

22 June 2009 No Comment

artisansmontageTonight, we gathered for the first time and celebrated being Artisans. God really spoke through worship, scripture and in listening during our silence and solitude. A song was written, dancers began to feel a stirring, God was moving.

A phrase that really spoke to me today was during a conversation with Andrew Simbol (Dancer) as we talked about Authenic Worship. There is a dance from called “True Move” where the movement that the dancer is simply true to whats inside.

Instead of trying to “fill the cup” with our own understanding or our own style or a certain theme, we want the expression to come from “an overflow of the cup.” An overflow that only comes from aligning ourselves with God and responding to what God is doing.

Sunday is only an advertisement of what goes on in our lives Monday to Saturday. If we are people after God’s heart and aligned with it, everyday is a day of worship.

God is calling us out of Exile (Jeremiah 29:2) and calling us to seek him first.
