Tonight, the Artisans gathered to worship and share what God is doing in our lives. Ben Chang led us in worship and Angela Park tearfully shared about how God is speaking to her here in Orange County. The song, “Did you hear the mountains tremble?” took on new meaning this week.

Today, as Justin, Angela and I were in the car heading toward Long Beach for our lunch gathering with Mosaic, Ed Salas walked out of Newsong getting ready to leave for the lunch as well. For some reason, I felt I needed to jump in his car and ride with him. I realized later, it was what God had intended.

Tonight, we gathered for the first time and celebrated being Artisans. God really spoke through worship, scripture and in listening during our silence and solitude. A song was written, dancers began to feel a stirring, God was moving.

On the street I saw a small girl cold and shivering in a thin dress, with little hope of a decent meal. I became angry and said to God; “Why did you permit this? Why don’t you do something about it?” For a while God said nothing. That night he replied, quite suddenly:

Jeremiah 29 is how God is speaking to me. Every time I read that chapter, God reveals something new to me. The obvious initial verse is Jeremiah 29:11. It’s the Purpose Driven Life verse, but as I read on God spoke this.
